1. Solar Panels Create Energy in Two Ways

2. Solar Panels Don’t Need Direct Sunlight.

Most people think they need to be positioned in direct sunlight when it comes to home solar installation, but this isn’t the case! They can still absorb rays from the sun’s light spectrum when in the shade or on a cloudy day. This makes them much more efficient than most people imagine.

3. How Long Do Solar Panels Last?

The best solar panels should last up to 30 years and no less than 25 years. Some cheaper models may last for fewer years, but it’s not expected that the panels will break or degrade before 15-20 years of use.

It is important to note that their efficiency at converting solar energy to power will decrease over the years, but the percentage rate is minimal.

4. Reduce Co2 Emissions by 100 Tonnes

Solar power is a clean energy source and could be at the forefront of saving our planet from global warming. The efficient types of solar panels could reduce your carbon emissions drastically.

Over 30 years, it’s estimated that the average household will reduce their emissions by around 100 tonnes, which is almost unimaginable!

5. Solar Power Can Keep Planes in the Air

Solar electricity goes far beyond household uses. While it can heat your water and power your TV, it can also fuel airplanes – now that’s amazing. This technology is still being developed and isn’t quite in the mainstream yet, but give it a decade, and you should be able to fly by the sun’s power!
